Zinedine Zidane has added cold water on speculations that Real Madrid will sign David De Gea from Old Trafford.

The goalkeeper was very much linked with the La Liga champions during the 2015 summer transfer window and would have complete a move to the Bernabeu before deadline day if not for issues with paperwork.

The Spaniard’s current contract with Man United has another 18 months to run, but the Old Trafford club are expected to trigger a 12-month extension clause to extend his stay with them until 2020.

The 27-year-old is being regarded by many as the best goalkeeper in the premier league, and he was very much impressive for his side during their last premier league game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

His superb performances against the gunners are said to have alerted the Champions League winners once more.

However, Real Madrid boss Zinedine has cooled talks that the Spain international is on his way to the Spanish capital.

The French manager insisted he is pleased with the current goalkeepers with him at Madrid.

“I am happy with my two goalkeepers” Zidane said this as quoted by daily star.

Although David is understood to be happy at Old Trafford, the former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper once complained Spanish players in foreign countries are not given attention like their counterparts playing in the La Liga.
