chelsea transfer Andrea Belotti
Chelsea will be delighted by the latest news that their transfer target Andrea Belotti has opted to put contract negotiations on hold with his Torino future uncertain.
The Italian forward was linked with a transfer to Chelsea last summer transfer window but the Blues opted on other transfer targets as talks with Italian Serie A side Torino never really progressed. The Blues instead signed Spain international striker Alvaro Morata from Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid for a club transfer record fee of £58 million.
Italian star Belloti has a £89 million buyout clause that scared away suitors but with his latest stance to not pen a new contract, the deal could be sorted out for either party.
As reported by Tuttosport in Italy, the Italian who was scheduled to sign a fresh contract this year after a transfer to either Serie A giant AC Milan or Premier League Champions Chelsea failed to materialize, is now keen on keeping his transfer options open.
He has netted six goals in the Italian league this campaign and is still one of the Leagues’ most prolific strikers, if he does join Chelsea, he will be a great option to partner former Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata upfront with manager Antonio Conte favouring a two-pronged forward line this season.
