Chelsea seem to have ended their interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfield star Lucas Moura after Willian decided to remain at the club, according to reports.
The Brazilian moved to Chelsea in 2013 from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk and has been a very important player for the club from that point on. He, however, struggled to produce his best form earlier this season and fell down the pecking order but has seen his performance improve drastically in recent matches.
Willian scored the equalizer against Liverpool at Anfield before playing a part in all 4 goals scored by the blues in their away Champions league game against Azerbaijani side Qarabag which seems to have won over the trust of boss Antonio Conte.
Reports from France, say Willian’s decision to remain at the club and also his recent performances as seen the Blues drop their interest in fellow Brazilian Moura.
Lucas Moura has been out of favour at star-studded PSG since the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer and had been seen as a perfect replacement for Willian. Moura appears to be on his way to China if reports of contract terms being agreed with Chinese club Beijing Guoan is anything to go by.
Willian can now focus on helping Chelsea continue their challenge for silverware this season.
