Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is not taking serious Pep Guardiola’s comments over David Silva’s injury ahead of the Sunday premier league game.
The Portuguese tactician sarcastically praised Arsene Wenger and his side’s medical team after beating the North London club at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, as summer signing Alexandre Lacazette played the entire game despite being ruled out injured prior to the day.
And Man City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking ahead of his side’s final group stage game against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League, claimed David Silva is injured and is likely to miss the Manchester derby on Sunday.
But after winning CSKA Moscow 2-1 on Tuesday night at Old Trafford, Man United boss Jose Mourinho was asked to give updates of his key players with injuries ahead of the crucial premier league game, and the Portuguese tactician capitalises on it to question David Silva’s injury.
Mourinho made it known that while the duo of Michael Carrick and Eric Bailly are not yet fit for the weekend game, Phil Jones is in contention to play, and Nemanja Matic will also participate in the duel despite being injured.
And as he was about leaving, Jose added:
‘No stories of Lacazette [referring to Saturday’s incident], David Silva… all the truth.’
