“This Player Should Be Manchester United Next Captain”

Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher wants Paul Pogba to become the captain at Manchester United, and has backed the Frenchman to replace current skipper Michael Carrick this term.

Jamie believes Pogba is currently the most important player at Old Trafford.

The former Juventus midfielder has helped his side to be in the category of the clubs dominating the premier league this term, and whenever he isn’t available to play, the difference is always clear in Mourinho’s side.

Out of the eight premier league games he has played this season, his side have won seven and scored some whopping 24 goals in those matches.

Additionally, the red devils were only able to win just four out of the seven games he couldn’t participate in, and they could only score 11 times in those fixtures.

And Liverpool hero Jamie thinks he is the best player to take over the role of the captain from Micheal Carrick by the end of this campaign.

Speaking recently about the France international, Carragher said the 24-year-old is getting more better, and, according to him, ‘the stats speak for themselves’.

Jamie also expressed how disappointed he was that Pogba won’t be part of the squad that will face Manchester City in the premier league this weekend.

Pogba was shown the red card during Man Utd’s 3-1 win over Arsenal last weekend.
