According to reports, Manchester United have lost the signature of a Premier League player to Spanish capital club Real Madrid.
The Chelsea player is set to prefer a move to the UEFA Champions League holders over a reunion with Jose Mourinho.
David Luiz who has been left out of Chelsea’s starting XI for consecutive matches, is reportedly willing to leave the Stamford Bridge in favour of a new ground.
The Brazilian international has been rumoured as United’s transfer target following a shaky start to the EPL. However, things have changed since Real Madrid entered into the race to sign the experienced defender.
After losing powerful defender, Pepe, Real Madrid have lacked the stability they had during the Portuguese’s time at the Spanish club. With Ramos also out injured, Madrid are eagerly on the look for a suitable cover.
Consequently, they have prepared a contract that suits David Luiz as they hope to capture him on loan for the remainder of the season before sealing his stay after the first six months at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to the reports from Daily Express, Luiz also has offers from Manchester United. However, he is not a big fan of Mourinho’s football tactics and player management, making him believe a move to Spain is a better option than a reunion with the former Chelsea boss.
