Manchester United star player Paul Pogba has made known his desire to participate actively in his side’s busy fixtures over the festive period.
The Frenchman urged his Portuguese manager not to sit him on the bench for too long, despite his recent return from a hamstring injury
After the 1-0 premier league win over Brighton last weekend, Jose told newsmen he wasn’t comfortable featuring Paul in the game for 90 minutes, suggesting the France international shouldn’t be rushed into regular active activities.
However, since the duo of Nemanja Matic and Marouane Fellaini have recently picked injuries, Mourinho might have no other choice but to entrust more responsibilities into Pogba’s hands ahead of the busy schedules.
Jose is set to lead his men to North London on Saturday to clash with Arsenal for their next premier league game at the Emirates Stadium.
And speaking ahead of the weekend clash, Pogba has told manager Mourinho that he wants to play.
The 24-year-old admits it is tiring playing often and often continuously, but, according to him, ‘that is what you play football for [as a player]’
‘I have played three [matches] in a row. I played my last two games for 90 minutes so I need a bit more time to feel 100%. [But] I am still good to play.’ the Frenchman said.
