Karim Benzema

Antonio Conte is on the lookout for a striker who can ease the responsibilities on Morata’s shoulders following Michy Batshuayi’s Injury.

The Italian manager is hoping he could get his hands on Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema as the Frenchman is one of the few quality strikers he can recognise in world football.

Karim Benzema who joined Madrid in 2009, is set to leave the Los Blancos after winning everything with the capital club. Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is also set to sell the player and cash in on him before his value totally drops to almost nothing.

It is believed that Arsenal are also in the race to sign the player but he might prefer to join Chelsea as he will have more chances to win trophies at Chelsea than at Arsenal.

Close sources to the Madrid President have said Florentino Perez is willing to let go of the France international if any club is willing to pay his asking price of £53m.

Arsene Wenger strongly believes he has the capacity to rival Chelsea for the signature of the experienced striker. It will be a tug of war between the Gunners and the Blues to land the French forward, Karim Bnezema from Real Madrid.
