Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, has told Spanish youngster Marco Asensio that his future at the club is now secured, after choosing to end the pursuit of Chelsea superstar.
Two weeks ago, there were reports within the media that Real Madrid young forward Marco Asensio, told the club board and coach Zinedine Zidane that he won’t be staying at the club if he is not guaranteed of playing more games for the Champions League holders.
It was a blow to the President’s dream of garnering the finest footballers on the planet. The reports opened the floor to lots of European giants opting to seal the youngster’s signature. Clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea all became interested in signing the Spanish forward.
However, every transfer quest is expected to be quenched as the forward will now be staying at the Spanish capital following Florentino Perez’ decision to halt the pursuit of Chelsea forward Eden Hazard.
Belgium international Eden Hazard has been one of the top targets of the Spanish club following their bad start to the 2017/2018 season. The player is also reportedly interested in joining Los Blancos so as to boost his chances of winning the UEFA Champions League and the Ballon D’Or.
According to reports, Hazard won’t be joining Real Madrid and Marco Asensio is now expected to stay at the club for the foreseeable future.
