Mourinho Changes Transfer Plans
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has altered his January transfer plans following the performance of his team on Tuesday.
The Portuguese tactician, who was on the brink of bringing Ivan Perisic to the Old Trafford from Inter Milan in the summer, is now opting for a different approach.
It is understood that Mourinho is becoming content with the good performances Anthony Martial is turning out in recent games. The Frenchman was on the score sheet as the Red Devils defeated Watford by four goals to two on Tuesday night at the Theater of Dreams.
Anthony Martial is gradually working his presence into Mourinho’s game plans as his partnership with Romelu Lukaku upfront is deemed a better choice to that of Rashford and the big Belgian forward.
The amazing performance of the France international is making Jose Mourinho rethink his plans for January as he was considering letting go of Martial in the summer. However, he decided to give the youngster one more chance to prove he has the character it takes to play for England’s biggest club – Manchester United.
Manchester United are still interested in the signing of Mesut Ozil from Arsenal as Mourinho believes the German player is capable of giving the final pass lacking in his team of recent. The signature of Ozil is also meant to be a good move for Lukaku who has scored a single goal for United in eleven games.
Notwithstanding, Anthony Martial will be expected to extend his contract with United in the coming weeks.
