Sky Sports have reported that Dele Alli is the most sought after player in the winter transfer window.
The England International is coveted by a host of European giants and could be on his way to Old Trafford when the window opens. Other clubs interested in the creative middle man are Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Chelsea.
According to reports, Manchester United are ready to pay up to £180m to fund the playmaker’s transfer and secure his services before the end of the current season.
United Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, is willing to add more quality and power to his final third which is an obvious quality they lack, especially when Paul Pogba was sidelined.
With Alli’s addition to the team, Mourinho will hope he can finally catch city rivals Manchester City who are topping the English Premier League table, with a wide 8 points margin separating them from the second placed team – Manchester United.
BBC also reported that Mourinho is willing to let go of Armenian playmaker, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The former Borussia Dortmund player was left out of the squad that faced Brighton on Sunday. United narrowly squeezed out a win from the fixture.
Mourinho is looking toward Dele Alli and Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil for the creativity his team lacks. The Portuguese tactician will hope to capture his two targets come January.
