Italian Antonio Conte has dropped a hint that he may be prepared to start playing Belgium international playmaker Eden Hazard in a more central forward role for the Blues on a regular basis.
The Belgian international has been in good form for the side so far this campaign and his performance on Saturday during the 1-1 draw with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC went unnoticed.
Eden Hazard missed the first few matches of the campaign as he recovered from a serious ankle problem, but the former Lille forward now looks like he is beginning to hit top form once again for the west London giant.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder looked very sharp in the first half of the match against Liverpool FC, and it was crystal clear that the attacker was playing in a more central position for Chelsea.
And Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been happy by Eden Hazard’s impressive form for the Blues recently after he seems to have developed a great understanding with Spaniard Alvaro Morata.
Talking to newsmen at his news conference after the match, the Italian tactician said
Eden Hazard is now in really great form, and he likes to play as a forward and there is a good link – understanding with Alvaro Morata.
The tactician admitted that it’s an opportunity for him to play with two different formations, claiming against Qarabag, the team played with a 3-4-2-1, against Liverpool with a 3-5-2 system.
