Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made known his plan for Swede legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the player’s superb injury return.
The talented striker played for the first time this season when his side thrashed Newcastle United 4-1 in the premier league last weekend at Old Trafford. He also played for some few minutes during the Champions League defeat at Switzerland on Wednesday.
The former Barcelona man was an integral member of Jose Mourinho’s team last season and was the player with the highest goals at the club, despite being his first time in England.
However, manager Jose Mourinho believes it is too soon to pick the player in his starting XI.
Speaking ahead of the premier league game against Brighton on Saturday, the Portuguese tactician said Zlatan is not yet ready for regular first-team duties, but will only get few minutes in some games to enable him to push comfortably to full fitness.
“He is not yet ready…[but] one day we will feel that he is physically ready” Jose said.
The former Porto manager also hailed Zlatan as an influential player who is always positive and has a great impact on the pitch and is apparently pleased to have him back in his team.
“[Ibrahimovic] is important on the pitch because he is one more option for us… We need this second option [to Lukaku]” Mourinho said.
