Chelsea tactician Antonio Conte is wary of the massive threat of Egyptian international forward Mohamed Salah ahead of Saturday evening’s encounter between his team and Liverpool and claims that his team’s heavy travel schedule is no excuse for complacency.
Since signing for the Reds’ last summer, the African has made a big impact, currently leading the English Premier League goal-scoring log with nine goals.
Speaking during Friday’s pre-game presser, Antonio Conte said Mohammed Salah is a fantastic and dangerous player. A technically fast and strong winger.
The Egyptian initially played his first game on English soil with the Blues, signing back in 2014 from FC Basel. However, game time opportunities were hard to come by for him at Chelsea, and after two spells on loan to Serie A side Fiorentina and AS Roma, he joined Liverpool permanently on his return to England last summer.
The Blues currently sit in third position, just a point behind Jose Mourinho tutored Manchester United, but a victory for the Reds could see them climb from fifth position to sit level with Chelsea on points.
However, the former Italy head coach was reluctant to comment on why Mo Salah was sold by Chelsea, albeit before Antonio Conte’s spell at the Bridge started.
