Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made it known that the duo of Eric Bailly and Phil Jones won’t be part of his squad that will face Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Bailly has not featured in his side’s last two games having returned from the international break with a slight knock. And he remains on the sidelines for Man United’s next premier league game against newly-promoted side Brighton, after his manager confirmed he will miss the Saturday’s game.

“[Eric] Bailly and [Phil] Jones are out” Jose told MUTV ahead of the top flight game

England international Phil Jones will also miss the game against Chris Hughton’s side.

The English defender remains out due to a thigh problem, an injury he sustained during the international break while playing for his country against Germany at the Wembley Stadium.

He was given six pain-killing injections to play in the friendly game that ended 0-0 but was forced off after just 25 minutes.

Mourinho also added that everything is fine as the trio of Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Victor Lindelof are fully fit and will be available for the game.

“We have Smalling, Rojo and Lindelof”

Man United are still eight points behind Manchester City in the premier league and will look to reduce the gap opened by Pep Guardiola’s side on the table.
