Chelsea set to Battle Man Utd for Brazil star

Published

on

Both Belgium international playmaker Eden Hazard and Brazilian Willian have been strongly linked with making a big money move away from Chelsea and the Blues are considering adequately replacing them should one of them depart Stamford bridge.

After a brilliant start to the current league season with French side Bordeaux, Brazilian striker Malcom is a transfer target for Chelsea, but they are set to face stiff competition from North London giant Arsenal and Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United for his signature, as per Mercato 365.

The Red Devils have scouted the forward on a couple of occasions this term and have been so impressed, with the Brazilian scoring five goals and making four assists in 13 Ligue 1 matches so far this campaign.

The Brazil Under-20 international was signed for what seems like a bargain, joining French side Bordeaux back in January 2016 for only €5million from Brazilian side Corinthians and he’s already being identified for a breakthrough into the Brazil senior National squad in the future.

The Premier League Champions are lacking in options up front and are left with one injury or two from a real crisis, but signing a player like the Brazilian would hand the West London side another top talent to add to the team.

Karim Benzema

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is obviously happy at the Bernabeu but that will only continue if the Spanish side fails to sign Belgium star Eden Hazard.

According to reports, Benzema will cease to be a happy man if Hazard finds his way to the club because his first team shirt will be threatened.

Hazard has been on the radar of the Spanish giants for a long time and they are keen to have him despite the insistent by the Blues that he will not be sold.

Real Madrid had slammed the Stamford Bridge side for keeping the player against his wish after the player stated that he had a long term wish to play at Real Madrid.

The wish by the Spanish side to have Hazard has intensified with their poor performance which has been upturned by new manager Santiago Solari who has now won his last four games in charge after the sack of Julen Lopetegui.

However, report according to Spanish daily OK Diaro says the French striker will be unhappy to have any player who will be a threat to his starting role.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are keen to have Hazard remain at the club because of his importance and influence in the team.

Chelsea set to lose highly rated striker

Olivier Giroud

French striker Olivier Giroud is one of the players praised and respected by manager Maurizio Sarri in the Chelsea team because of the supposed impact he has had in the team.

The former Arsenal man cannot boast of goals in the Blue jersey but that is not an issue for the Italian manager who said Giroud always help to mount pressure on the opponent’s defence as well as deliver assists for goals.

The same was seen of the player in the Russia 2018 World Cup where he played all games from the group stage to the finals wearing the 9 jersey but failed to score a single goal and yet was not an issue for the manager.

This substance is about to be missed as latest reports link the player out of the Stamford Bridge to French side Marseille on a loan deal as it is reported that the West London side will go for strikers in the January window.

Giroud who has scored just once this campaign is facing competition from Alvaro Morata who joined the club from Real Madrid and has scored a total of six goals this season.

Meanwhile, suggestions are that the Blues will not stand in the way of the World Cup winner should he insist on leaving the club.

Dani Alves

In what seem to be a surprise, Brazilian defender Dani Alves has stated that he still has a chance to play in the Premier League before hanging his boot having played 17 years of active football.

Alves had already had successful spells with Spanish giants Barcelona and Italian champions Juventus before his move to the French giants Paris St Germain and he is currently one of the most successful players of the game.

The Brazilain has got more trophies than any active player in the game and he is bent on retiring as the most decorated player in the world but that will not happen if he does not play in the Premier League as he plans to have a taste of it.

The former Barcelona right full-back says the respect for players by the fans and the passion displayed on the pitch in addition to the intensity is something he must experience before the end of his career.

However, Alves spoke on his past relationship with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola but there is no assurance there will be a move for him.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian would be welcomed by West London side Chelsea as they are believed to have made attempt for him in the past.

Sandro Tonali

Chelsea target Sandro Tonali has had his profile improved with his first national team call-up at the age of 18.

Roberto Mancini is not willing to take any chance on the player so as not to be snatched by other countries that are monitoring his progress, hence decided to hand him a place in the Azzurri side.

The likes of Juventus and Manchester City have all lined up for the Serie B Brescia player and they have been told that they will have to pay as much as £35 million to have him move away.

The young lad told CalcioMercato journalist Giacomo Brunetti of his experience and feeling with his first call to the national team.

Sandro Tonali stated that his first day with the team was as calm which helped him settle with other players as they all expressed their delight in seeing him in the national colours.

He added that he had learnt from his senior teammates and hope it continues but noted that the best decision for him was to have stayed with Brescia and not moving to Europe.

However, Sandro Tonali refused to speak on the interest for him from the Stamford Bridge but was quick to express his pleasure at being compared with legendary player Pirlo.

kante

Emerging reports indicate that Spanish giants Real Madrid are ready to take a big gamble as they consider moving for Chelsea powerhouse N’Golo Kante to bolster their midfield.

This was reported by Spanish newspaper Don Balon which states that the French midfielder is being monitored by Madrid president Florentino Perez and he is ready to break the bank to have the player.

Los Blancos are willing to pay the sum of £140 million for the player with the hope that it may tempt the West London club into releasing the player.

Kante is one of the most important players and an asset to the Chelsea team having grown to be one of the best midfielders in the world.

His impact at Leicester City ensure they won a record League title while he was able to win it double at the Stamford Bridge the following year.

The 27-year-old also made a big impact at the Russia 2018 World Cup where he helped his France national team win the tournament.

His value has since skyrocket and he is expected to remain at the Stamford Bridge for a longer period of time despite interest coming from the Spanish giants as well as French side Paris St Germain.

Finally, Chelsea make their plan known for Ethan Ampadu

ethan ampadu

Chelsea have made their plans known for their 18-year-old starlet Ethan Ampadu for the future after the player has been unused by manager Maurizio Sarri since the beginning of the season.

Instead of allowing him to waste on the bench without seeing any game, the West London club have decided that Ethan Ampadu will move away on a loan deal.

However, Aston Villa and Derby County are all suitors for the young lad who has shown prospect of being a world-class star.

This is the second consecutive season for Ethan Ampadu in the Chelsea team and was only favoured under the former manager Antonio Conte with about 7 appearances in the last season’s campaign.

The player is believed to be okay with any decision made by the club over his future on whether to be allowed to go on a permanent deal or a loan deal but he is more interested in playing regularly.

Reports say he is already receiving interests from clubs and the offers available for him are to be considered within the coming months before the opening of the winter transfer window in January.

The West London club have got lots of options at the middle leaving the competition too strong for Ethan Ampadu knowing that the Italian manager will not take the gamble in fielding younger players.

Maurizio Sarri’s effect – How Sarri turn Chelsea to tittle contender

Published

on

sarri

Chelsea ended ties with Antonio Conte last season after series of unimpressive results which lead to their inability to qualify for this season’s Champion League competition.

In all fairness, Antonio Conte didn’t do too badly while at Stamford Bridge as the former Juventus manager led the team to a Premier League glory and FA Cup glory in just two seasons.

However, his unhealthy relationship with his employers and players, coupled with unwanted results, lead to his dismissal by the end of last season.

After many rumours over Conte’s replacement, Chelsea eventually reached an agreement with Maurizio Sarri to become their manager.

The blues have been in a great form since Sarri took over from his compatriot in August and they are presently looking much like title contenders.

The former Napoli manager didn’t just change the club’s tactic from 3-4-3 to 4-3-3, he equally brings confidence, hopes and belief to the whole team.

His experience and tactical approach to games is one of the requirements needed by the Blues to return back to reckoning after failing to win the Premier League trophy last season.

One area that has witnessed major transformation under Sarri is the Blues attacking front line.

Towards the end of Conte’s reign, the Stamford Bridge outfits found it so hard to score goals despite creating much goalscoring chances.

The goalscoring crises forced Conte into completing a shock move for former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud during January transfer window.

Despite signing the Frenchman, Chelsea’s complacency in front of goal continued as Alvaro Morata and Giroud couldn’t get the goals needed.

After 12 Premier League games under Sarri, Chelsea fans are happy with club’s decision to hire the Italian manager.

This is as a result of the resurgence they’ve seen in their strikers which have seen them scored 26 goals.

Apart from the Blues newfound goalscoring feat, every segment of the team are experiencing tremendous transformation and that might just be enough to see them win the League.

Sarri’s effect on the team has also seen a highly defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante feature in a more advanced position at the middle of the park alongside summer signing Jorginho.

The Frenchman who is publicly known as no-nonsense midfielder is being converted to an attacking midfielder and he’s being awesome in his new role.

Furthermore, the addition of Keppa Arrizabalaga has somewhat brought confidence to the team’s defenders who have kept five clean sheets from 12 matches.

Though Chelsea played a goalless draw against Everton last night, they are definitely in the race for Premier League glory this season.

Meanwhile, it seems to be a very interesting race for the title this season as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are yet to taste defeat in the League.

Manchester City thrashed their bitter rivals and neighbours Manchester United 3-1 at Etihad to remain at the top of the table.

Jurgen Klop’s men recorded a 2-0 victory over Fulham yesterday thanks to goals from Salah and Shaqiri. They remain second on the log.

Chelsea are third on the table but on the same points with Liverpool.

Writing off Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal in the race for the title definitely look too soon as the three are still very much in the chase.

Arsenal have been brilliant since Emery took over from 68-year-old Frenchman Arsene Wenger. They might be the dark horse in the tittle race.

Real Madrid have turned attention to Chelsea target

Timothy Aiyeku

Published

suso

Spanish giants Real Madrid have turned their attention to Chelsea target and AC Milan forward Suso as a replacement for Gareth Bale who is believed to be on his way out of the club.

Before now, Chelsea were pointed to be the front-runner for the forward with a bid believed to be made for a deal to be in place in the winter transfer window which opens in the coming month.

However, they might not have it all easy with the strong interest already shown by the La Liga giants in the player as they prepare for life without Bale.

Bale is out of favour at Real Madrid having lost his form despite the exit of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus which hands him the free ride to also reign.

The former Tottenham player is also believed to be having a sour relationship with some key members of the Real Madrid team and they are reported to be pushing for his exit from the management.

Suso, as been praised to be the big thing expected to hit Europe and most big guns, are making efforts to have him join their camp.

There are fears that Chelsea will miss out on the AC Milan with the emergence of Real Madrid.

Chelsea prepare for life after Willian, Pedro with Mexico international

Hirving Lozano

Chelsea are already raising concerns about the age of their star wingers, Brazilian international Willian and Spanish international Pedro who are all within 30 years.

This is an indication that both Blues players might not last longer at the Stamford Bridge with the club already preparing to bring in replacements even before they are gone.

PSV winger Hirving Lozano has been pointed as the best fit for both players and the West London side are reported to be preparing a bid to have him switch over to London ahead of the winter transfer window which opens in coming month.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is desperate to have the player’s signature having learnt that Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in the 23-year-old.

A release clause of about £42 million has been placed for the player should any club seeks for his signature but that is not a big deal for the Italian manager who is bent on having the player join his side in coming months.

Howbeit, the former Napoli boss has won the heart of the Chelsea owners with his great performance which has helped his side gone unbeaten so far in this competition. He is expected to have the backing of the management as well in having some additions so as to stand a better chance of winning a title.
