According to new reports coming from Spain, Arsenal star player Mesut Ozil has agreed to a deal with Barcelona and will leave North London in the January transfer window.

Ozil is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of this season and will be available to sign as a free agent next summer if he failed to put pen on paper for a new deal.

And Catalunya Radio (via Metro) made it known that La Liga giants Barcelona have already held talks with the midfielder’s party, and a three-and-a-half-year deal has now been agreed by the two sides.

It was also added that Arsene Wenger’s side would accept a bid of €20 million (£17.7m) for Mesut next January instead of losing him for nothing when summer comes.

Barcelona were heavily linked with Liverpool’s Phillipe Coutinho during the summer transfer window, but the Anfield club didn’t sell him despite the huge bids from the Catalan giants.

The Camp Nou club are understood to be exploring potential alternatives to the samba star, and it was said that Mesut is their ‘Plan B’ should in case they won’t be able to get Countiho next year.

The Germany international has also been heavily linked with moving to Old Trafford to reunite with his former manager Jose Mourinho at the club, and it was reported that he has received offers from six other clubs.
