Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has disclosed that Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard will be fit for selection for Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions’ League Group C game against Azerbaijan side Qarabag in Baku.
Eden Hazard had to be substituted during the second stanza of Saturday’s English Premier League game against West Brom, where he netted a brace in a 4-0 victory.
It had been reported that the Belgian international playmaker would be unavailable to lock horns with Qarabag on Wednesday, but Antonio Conte has confirmed that the 26-year-old forward is fit for selection.
Eden Hazard, who is priced at £67.5million by transfermarkt.co.uk, has netted five times and made four assists in 15 matches for Chelsea this campaign and has scored twice in four UEFA Champions League matches.
The Blues will enter the game in second place in Group C – one point adrift the leaders AS Roma, who will head to Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
Premier League side Chelsea will secure their place in the last-16 of the Europe’s elite competition if they gather all three points away in Baku, whilst weeping boys Qarabag, who are rock bottom with two points, need a victory to stand a chance of making it out of the group.
The Premier League side recorded a 6-0 victory when they hosted Qarabag at Stamford Bridge in the reverse fixture in September.
