Talented youngster Daishawn Redan moved to Chelsea from Ajax during the summer transfer window, putting pen to paper for a two-year deal.
Although he is yet to make his professional debut for his new side, the 16-year-old remains a youngster with a bright future and has gone ahead into Chelsea’s U18 side.
Redan, being the skipper at the Netherlands U17 side, have scored 14 goals in 18 games at the youth level.
However, speaking recently in an interview about his move to Chelsea, the teenager made it known that things would have been different for him, as he held talks with two other premier league clubs – Man United and West Ham.
The young Dutch striker made it known that one of the reasons he didn’t join other clubs pursuing him is because he was very impressed with the facilities he saw at Chelsea, and he decided to move to London.
‘At Manchester United it [the facilities] was okay, but at Chelsea it was ‘wow’.’ Daishawan said.
He added that he was really impressed with what he saw at Chelsea, and he believed the West London club would help him develop into a big and strong striker.
“I want to be one of the best strikers in the world.” he said.
