Bad news as Chelsea Superstar is set to miss West Brom clash due to injury
Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku was the hero of the night for Belgium National team on Tuesday against Asian side Japan.
The Belgian, who has failed to find the back of the net for United since September ending, made it a total of three goals in two games against the Japanese.
Romelu Lukaku, who is still just 24-years-old, netted his 31st goal for his National team when he headed home a cross from Nacer Chadli in the second half of the encounter.
That goal meant that the former Chelsea striker has become Belgium’s all-time leading scorer.
Chelsea Superstar attacker Eden Hazard missed the match against Japan on the night, after the playmaker sustained a knock in training earlier this week.
To date, it’s still unclear how bad Eden Hazard’s injury is, but according to top Belgium journalist Kristof Terreur, the former Lille forward missed the Japan clash as a “precaution”.
Prior to the FIFA international break, Premier League Champions Chelsea defeated Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United 1-0. They’ll try to keep the winning momentum at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
West Brom look to be in trouble at the moment, as they are on a 10 match winless run.
Aside from the Eden Hazard injury issue, the Blues have a number of injury concerns before the Weekend clash. Nigerian Victor Moses is still ruled out of action with a thigh problem, while Belgian Michy Batshuayi is out with a foot problem.
