Chelsea summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko has questioned his omission from the France National team squad.

The Premier League Champions powerhouse was left behind as Les Blues continued their preparations for next summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia, and he couldn’t help but make public his frustration.

As cited by French news publication Canal+, the defensive midfielder claimed that he feels the players called up to play in the midfield ahead of him are not better than him.

The Frenchman has managed a mixed start to life at Stamford Bridge following a brilliant season at French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.

The midfield maestro suffered a stuttering start to his tenure at Chelsea as he nursed a knee problem, but has shown signs of great promise, along with signs he will adjust properly to English football.

The big and tall midfielder will be hoping to hit form with Chelsea in the coming months, as he tries to put himself in the running for Didier Deschamps’ FIFA World Cup squad.

Conte’s men head into the weekend clash with West Bromwich Albion in the fourth position on the log and nine points behind leaders Manchester City. Bakayoko will be hoping to be included in the matchday squad.
