The Old Trafford club are readying a big-money swoop for two football superstars who both ply their trade in the Spanish La Liga.
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale and Atletico Madrid frontman Antonie Griezmann could be on their way out of the Spanish capital come January or the next summer.
Manchester United tried signing Frenchman Antonie Griezmann during the summer. However, the deal could not materialise as he had to stay back at Atletico for at least another season because of their transfer ban which expires in January.
The Frenchman has dipped in quality in recent times and reports have said he has his heart set on moving to Manchester. Jose Mourinho made a clear sign that he wanted the forward at United before having to settle for Romelu Lukaku.
Gareth Bale is an important player to the Welsh national team. However, his importance at Real Madrid has continued to wane over the years, especially with the outstanding performance of youngster Marco Asensio. Isco and Lucas Vasquez also make it quite difficult for the Welsh to stake a regular place in the Los Blancos first XI with or without injury.
The Real Madrid forward is tipped to leave the capital city before the start of next season. Zinedine Zidane has even gone as far as identifying Eden Hazard to replace the pacy forward.
During the last summer transfer window, Jose Mourinho was all out for a left midfielder who could run the whole length of the left side tirelessly. He will be happy to have his number one candidate for the position.
Both players are rumoured to cost United a whopping £200m or more
