Jose Mourinho has already spent lots of money since he arrived Old Trafford last year, and there are lots of reports in recent weeks that he is ready to spend even more cash to add more strength to his team.
Last week, there were reports from Spain that Marco Asensio is open to leaving Real Madrid if he keeps warming bench in Zindedine Zidane’s team.
A few hours later, Don Balon also claimed Manchester United are set to pay a whopping €200 million to get the player’s signature next year. It was also said that the Old Trafford club have offered the player a deal that will see him earn a whopping £460,000 each week, making him the highest paid player in the premier league.
Marco was superb at Real last term and has started this season in brilliant fashion as well.
But with other top quality stars in Zidane’s team, the 21-year-old has found himself on the bench occasionally and has not started a single Champions League game this season so far.
Despite his limited opportunities, he has been able to score 7 times in 18 games for Real Madrid, providing two assists as well.
Paul Pogba currently receives the highest wage at Old Trafford (£290,000-a-week), and we look on to what will happen with Asensio.
