According to a report by The Telegraph, Wales National men football team are confident that Chelsea starlet, Ethan Ampadu, will rather play for the Welsh National football team in the future despite being eligible to play for the Three Lions of England.

Ethan Ampadu is one of the hottest prospects in Britain and has forced his way into Chelsea’s senior team in League Cup ties this campaign, despite only penning a professional contract with the West London club back in September. The youngster came on as a substitute for Wales National football team on Friday evening against Les Blues of France and he performed pretty well.

The wonderkid was born in Devon and his father, Kwame Ampadu, featured for the Republic of Ireland’s U-21 team but his mother is from Wales, so there is a big argument of who the defensive midfielder will play for.

The Chelsea starlet should start the match against Panama on Tuesday for Wales but the youngster can still switch his allegiance until he plays his first competitive match for either Wales National football team or the Three Lions of England.

The manager of Wales National football team, Chris Coleman, has disclosed that the 17-year-old midfielder is fully committed to the Welsh national football side.
