Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has indicated that he would love to see his former club bring a new No. 10 player to Old Trafford that can help bring out the best in summer signing Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international made a big money move to Man United from Everton during the summer transfer window and he quickly adapts to life at Old Trafford by scoring seven goals in his first ten games for his new side in the premier league.
In recent weeks, however, the talented player has been struggling to find the back of the net and has failed to score a single goal in his last six games in all competitions for Man United.
And club legend Paul Scholes believes the issue is because the former Everton striker is not having enough support behind him at Manchester United.
Speaking recently to BT Sport about the situation of things at his former club, Paul said Jose Mourinho’s team is lacking a good number 10 player who can link the midfield to the forward appropriately
“I don’t think they have got a good enough No. 10 at the moment.” Scholes said.
Manchester United have been linked with German midfielder Mesut Ozil for sometime, and the Arsenal man had revealed he isn’t pleased with Wenger’s 3-4-3 system where he can’t play as a No. 10, which he described as his ‘best role’.
