Chelsea are plotting an audacious move for Italian striker Ciro Immobile as they hope to bring in reinforcements during the next January transfer window.

The Blues are believed to be looking to sign a couple of players to the Stamford Bridge in a bid to rebuild the relationship with Antonio Conte, following reports that the Italian is unhappy with the club hierarchy due to the lack of signings.

The Premier League champions have had a slow start to their title defence this season, fueling reports of a likely shakeup in the backroom for the Blues.

However, reports in the Sun claim that Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich wants to keep Conte at the club and will instruct technical director, Michael Emenalo to bring in Immobile in order to please his manager

Initial reports have claimed that Lazio president Claudio Lotito does not want to sell Immobile and had already snubbed a £62million bid for the striker but it is believed that the Serie A side would accept a bid around £53 million from Chelsea.

There are speculations that Chelsea are not ready to meet the valuation, but could strike a stunning swap deal with Lazio for Immobile. It is also said that the striker will fancy a reunion with his former Italian coach.
